Lastly, I would like to share a story.

John has been employed for over 12 years. His company closes down and he can not make his payments. Soon he is faced with losing is home and having to move his family away from the home, schools, and neighborhood they have grown to love.

He has not found a job, but finds an "Investor" who will solve all of his problems. The "Investor" gives him a loan and takes out a lien against his home.

A couple of months go by and soon John is behind on payments. The "Investor" says he will buy the entire first loan so John can make one manageable payment to him. John waits for the "Investor" to buy the loan and calls him every week. All the while, the auction date on the first loan is getting closer.

Two weeks before auction, the "Investor" backs out of his promise and starts a foreclosure on the small loan he made to John just months earlier. 

The home goes to auction. John gave the "Investor" the power. The power to walk away, charge high interest rates, and control his family's future.
